Today's event was played at Berrington Hall Golf Club in Rainford, it has been a few months since we were there last, and they have made quite a few improvements, not only to the course, but to the Clubhouse too, with new seating etc, it looks great.
The Course was in good condition, considering all the rain over the last fortnight, and unfortunately we got some more, but probably not as bad as the forecast.
We played a Texas Scramble again, which is popular, but with a twist, each player had to have one of his four drives on a par 3. We had some great scoring again with the top few places all scoring 60 or 61 gross, it just depended on how many shots each team had, so the winners were obviously the biggest bandits with a 51.4, followed by a 52 and a 53.9.
